How long is the program?
The EFE program lasts two years. By default students spend the entire program at Milan but they can also apply (during the first year of EFE studies) to spend the second year or part of it in another European University.

Can I study part-time?
No, the EFE program is full-time and very demanding. We discourage a part-time attendance.

How many applications do you receive each year? How many are accepted?
In year 2017/2018 we received about 150 applications and 50 students were admitted.

What do EFE graduates do?
We axpect that EFE graduates to work in global businesses, international organizations and government agencies. Students can also pursue an academic career doing doctoral research in prestigious universities or in eminent research centers.

How much does the program cost?
The annual fees vary from a minimum of about 156 € to a maximum of about 4,000 €.

How do I apply to the EFE program?

What is your GRE/GMAT policy?
A GRE or GMAT certification is highly recommended but not compulsory, but it would be helpful during the selection process.
No minimum score required.

Do I need to have my foreign documents translated?
Yes, all transcripts and recommendations must be in Italian or English. The Diploma must be translated and authenticated by the Italian Embassy in your country. You also need to ask for the Declaration of Value of your Diploma.

Do you accept transfer students?
We do not accept transfer students during the academic year. If you want to move from your University to EFE, you must follow the application procedures. If you’ll be admitted, you’ll start as a first-year student. Nevertheless, your previous exams may be recognised as EFE exams.

What should I do after I submit my application?
Once you have submitted your application, the EFE Secretariat will contact you to let you know if you are invited for an interview. Please allow at least 2 weeks for us to contact you.

May I know if I am sufficiently prepared before I apply?
Unfortunately, the EFE Secretariat cannot tell wheter or not a student is sufficiently prepared prior to a review of his or her application. An useful thing you can do is to check the entry requirements.

Can I apply for a PhD program after EFE?
Yes, the EFE program provides a solid basis for progression to doctoral work in economics analysis and research.

Are there any special application requirements for non-EU applicants?
Yes, non-EU applicants must submit a pre-application at the Italian Embassy of their country of origin.
